The hustle and bustle of starting a new year has all departments working hard. Membership has help taking in the flurry of new and renewing members. Block of the Month is starting a new year of fun. Outreach will be showing the block for the Outreach quilt, and kits will be ready in October for members to help out making this quilt. Everyone will have one month to complete, because they are hoping to present the quilt to the chosen Charity in February. The library has new volunteers running it and they had spent the summer getting the Library on line, so that everyone knows what we have. It will hopefully save time when looking for something specific. Sherida Giddings, a Judy Neimeyer teacher, will be our Trunk Show. She is doing a workshop during the day, before the meeting in the evening. Congratulations to all Guild members who entered and won ribbons for quilts, and other crafts, entered at local fairs this past summer. A full list is in September 2016 Newsletter. The LCQG Fall Sale & Luncheon is Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 11 am to 2 pm. We still need lots of donations. C.
