2024-2025 Block of the Month
Welcome to a brand new year with me, and my new BOM that I designed with my Electric Quilt program. This quilt is called New York Beauty Medallion. Our first month, we have 2 NY Beauty blocks. They are 10" square each. I did 2 different methods of paper piecing, to give you options, one sewing through the paper, and one not sewing through the paper. I hope these methods open up a new experience for you, because as always, we are here to just have fun. Cathy

Month 1
Here we are in a brand new year of Block of the Month. We are doing a medallion quilt that I designed, called New York Beauty Medallion. I had a request for New York Beauties, so I incorporated 4 blocks for the centre of this medallion quilt. They are all different, and I have offered different methods of doing them. I hope that you will try them. You will get 2 of them this month. I can't wait to see yours.Your link is below, I hope you can open it. I couldn't on the previous email. Please save to your computer, or print right away. Remember to print at 100% or Actual size, not Fit to Page, or Fill Page. these are paper piecing patterns. Month 2

Welcome back to this year's BOM, NY Beauty Medallion. This is month 2, which includes the final 2 paper piecing patterns that will make up the centre. I hope you are having fun with your colours. If you are having problems printing them the correct size, contact me and I will print for you. I hope you have tried the new method that will make things easier, but as always, just have fun. Cathy

Month 3
November, 2024
Welcome to MONTH 3 of New York Beauty Medallion, and this month you will be making 4-Patch blocks, actually 44 of them. You can do 2 colours or many colours, your choice. Have fun with it. Once the 4 NY Beauties are sewn together, get those 4-patches on. Can't wait to see yours. Here's mine. Cathy.

Month 4
Welcome to another month of our BOM, and this month we have CORNER STONES. You will be making 8 of one size, and 4 of a different size. They will land in the corners of the next 3 rounds. These are half square triangles and squares on corners. I hope you enjoy making these, and have caught up on your other blocks and rounds on our Medallion quilt. Cathy

Month 5
Welcome to Month 5 of New York Beauty Medallion.
This month we are doing SPOOL BLOCK WITH VINE, 4 times. First you'll make the Spool Block, with half square triangles and connecting corners. Then onto the Vine section. When they're done and sewn together, you'll be adding Corner Stones to pull this round together. I hope you are enjoying this journey 😊 as much as I am. As always, just have fun. Cathy.
