Our August Block of the Month is based on a barn quilt in Ridgetown Ontario, in the municipality of Chatham-Kent.
The “Sunflower” barn quilt, is a modified “Waterwheel” pattern that gives tribute to the now silent mills that were built along “Big Creek” in the valley known as “The Klondyke,” just one kilometre east of the Ridgetown property.
