The Lanark County Quilters Guild hosts two major events: Quilts on the Tay quilt show, usually held every two years and a Christmas Sale and Luncheon the opposite year of the quilt show.

Quilts on the Tay

Our next show is coming! July 2018.

It will be held July 13, 14, and 15, 2018 at the Smiths Falls Memorial Community Centre. Put these dates on your calendar, you won’t want to miss it. It’s been three years since our last show, so there should be lots of quilts screaming to get noticed. We will have a wide variety of Vendors for everyone’s taste. There is also a Boutique, with lots of items for sale made by our talented members. We will also have a Featured Artist, who will be on site for the entire Show. Bridget O’Flaherty, a talented member of our Guild, will be on hand to demonstrate Thread Painting. Bridget has been a teacher for many years, and will be a delight to watch her do her craft. We will have a Tearoom on the second floor, and lots of other things to see up there. And there is an large elevator to get you there that will fit more than two people at a time. You will have a chance to vote on your favourite quilt with a Viewer’s Choice ballot. And door prizes. Everyone loves door prizes! Hope to see you there!

Christmas Sale & Luncheon

This is a bi-annual fundraiser the Guild presents every two years, on the alternate year of our Quilts on the Tay quilt show.  It enables us to bring in guest speakers and offset costs for workshops, etc. over the year.

Sale Consignment:   Members wishing to sell items at the Christmas sale need to sign up.  A sheet will be at the Outreach table at both the September and October meetings.

  1. Sorry for the late answer. Carol Darou’s quilt “My Rustic Garden” won Viewer’s Choice at The Quilts On the Tay. A photo will be added soon.
